I'm not amputiphobic (anymore)
I went to a client's home yesterday to meet with an electrician. He (let's call him Kenny cuz that's his name) he was wearing a prosthesis on his right leg. Let's face it. You come into contact with someone wearing a prosthesis, and immediately become very aware that you're concentrating on not looking at it. Not me. Well, at least not anymore. Why? Because Kenny must have taken his leg off 15 times in the 90 minutes we were together. It desensitized me, and made me really comfortable (in an odd way). I really preferred that experience over him divulging the little fact that black coffee with a shot in it "means the day is going to be good". This, when I'm on the schedule for 7:00 AM and it's a 6 hour job. Man am I ready to get on with my life.
