I worked a better part of the day on my reseach paper for World Architecture class. I knocked out 9 pages or so. Considering all the articles and paperwork I was referencing, I thought I did okay. The best part is that I am completely inspired by the subject of my paper: Paul Williams. I came across his story in the local newspaper about two years ago, and ever since, I've been captivated by him. I tried to leave a link for him before, but it didn't work. Anyway, I'll try it again. I drove around town last weekend, tracking down 13 of the 15 El Reno apartment units that he designed. They were part of a complex in the 1930's - then were sold off one by one in the 1950's and tucked into various neighborhoods of old Reno. It was fun finding them all. I would love to own one someday. At 900 square feet, it would make a perfect little design studio. I'm off to get comfy and watch a movie. If I get a chance, I'll post the examples of Williams' Reno work. Off I go now. Bye bye blog.
P.S. His story is the kind that keeps me going - when the going gets tough for me.
