Study group offers Entertainment at UNR

Angie, Rebecca and I were at the library late afternoon yesterday, working on our portfolio for our Contemporary Design Concepts course. There only a few people in the library, because it was Friday right? Where we sat, there was a table next to us with one lone guy.

Girls: No this Norman Shaw doesn't fit in to the Aesthetic Movement, this was late 1800's - this is an example of Beaux Arts....oh wow...now look at this Arts & Crafts chair..look at the Medieval influence - very much different from its American counterpart....

Guy at table: Wow

Girls: See? Exactly. This Frank Lloyd Wright high back dining chair offers enclosure - delineating the space. No no, can't use that one - it's not part of the Craftsman period...but ch ch check it out..all the duct work is hidden in the grain silo inspired corners of the building....ooh look at this Stickley piece...

Guy at table: What kind of class are you girls taking?

Girls: tell guy at table, then dive back into our discussion So..back to patent furniture....

Guy at table: Omg you're cracking me up.

Thanks guy at table, for making our study session fun :)
