We had a great time in Auburn over the weekend. We sat around and talked a lot. We played Scrabble and Eileen taught the girls to knit. The guys caught the basketball finals, and we all played with Gus.
The food was incredible as usual. The second night we were there we had baked ziti with pork and spicy sausage ragu (omg yum) and a couple of bottles of Toscana's Barbera mmm.
We saw Robots Saturday afternoon. I thought it was darling. I loved the retro colors of the bots, especially Rodney Copperbottom's turquoise/white combination. He reminds me of a vintage 50's fridge...that, and a 55 Chevy. The animation in the movie was great, and I loved how vintage toys were incorporated into the city's infrastructure ;) Robin William's character was hysterical.
