Lemon Drops and Incubus

We had such a nice nice time over the holiday with my folks. Sue and Lud Oliviera, good friends of my parents, joined us for the weekend. I hadn't seen them since my move to Reno, so it was really great to catch up. Sue made lemon drops and we talked and talked. We were talking about their son Jerry, and his previous band Ultraspank. Turns out their really good friends with the guys in Incubus. Hello, I could've gotten hooked up at the concert dammit ;)

It was fun to hear stories about his band touring with Incubus and playing at Oz Fest. I especially liked the story of the skinheads in the front of the crowd, keeping time to the beat with fists raised in the air, chanting "white power." Jerry stopped playing (as did the rest of the band) and put down his guitar. He looked at them and said, "I'm your worst nightmare, I'm a Jewish spic." Hahaha.
