My first thought for this room was to remove the mantle and mirror (the proportion of it makes me think of an old man with his pants pulled up to high). The sconces add a nice glow to the wall and the fireplace was done in slate tiles cut in 1/2 and then installed in a broken joint pattern. Roman shade valances and bench seat cushions are in the workrooms right now.
