Not Chicago, Reno. Sort of a fun and chaotic day. Mid afternoon I had finished shopping for a client and was on my way to the car when I realized that my keys were safe and sound--inside of my locked car.
Lisa: Hi Connie, it's Lisa. I locked my keys in the car.
Connie: *laughs* do you want me to come get you?
Lisa: It's a lot to ask.
Connie: It's more than any neighbor should ever ask, where's the spare key?
Saved by Connie, I arrived at SPPC late for the renewable energy showcase. Some prof. from UNR was talking in super boring terms about energy and since I was late I stayed in the back of the room AND I didn't have my glasses, so I couldn't read his boring PowerPoint. After boring guy was done, we took a tour of the grounds to see the PV panels and the wind turbine. The turbine makes me really really happy :)
Got home, ran across the street with a bottle of wine for Connie (nicest and most affordable locksmith in town) and then off to Tyler's game.
In the third inning, one of Tyler's contacts came out. I got contact solution from one mom (never met her) and a mirror from another mom (never met her either) and it took Erica's, Tyler's and my efforts in the girls bathroom to get it back in.
Tyler: this is the worst luck ever.
It was SO windy at the game. During a particularly violent gust, I yelled "Dorothy?? Dorothy!!"
I'm glad to be home where it's warm :)
